You can now sign up for Windows OneCare Live (beta), an integrated firewall, antivirus, backup, and maintenance suite for your PC that will be offered on a subscription basis when it's officially released. The OneCare team has a blog (of course) if you want to keep up-to-date on developments during the public beta.

Great, everyone installs the free AntiVirus software, gets locked-in to an MS product with a low license fee, and then their AV & security software get turned off when Microsoft tries to enforce their new real-time licensing patent http://www.moogle1.com/2005/12/microsoft-patents-real-time-software-license-enforcement/
Let's hope Microsoft doesn't enforce that shiny, new patent.

1. I have installed, tested, and reviewed the latest version. I have mixed feelings. While it's a nice idea, it still requires that standard users be prepared for a lot of daily interaction with the software. Check it out:
