Over on Pocket PC
Thoughts they point to a post by my old friend Anthony
“the PDA guy” Caruana. He tells us that they will be using Microsoft Mobile technology to help people find their way around during the games. I find this
particularly interesting for reasons other then the fact that I live in Melbourne where the games will be hosted.
Unfortunately living in Melbourne I have been affected by the Commonwealth Games Time Zone change. This Time Zone
change means that computers that are not patched to accommodate for the 1 hour offset will be telling the wrong time.
The problem with this is that Windows Mobile devices do not have a
solution. Let’s hope that the people giving out directions are also not giving out the time.Windows Mobile devices at the 2006 Commonwealth Games

1. Tonights coverage of "The Games" (22nd.)was terrible. We had to endure 15mins of interviews, close ups ect. of "our very own 400mt champion" all the while there was other events going on within the stadium (which PERHAPS some viewers may have been interested in) instead of watching a guy prance & preen his inflatated ego. It is time you learned how to present the games instead of promoting your Prima Donna`s. There are many, many viewers who just enjoy watching the events regardless of whether an Aussie will win gold.
Very disapointed viewer
