Talking at Microsoft’s current
Mix 06 conference
conversation Bill Gates mentioned that IE could see a refresh every 9 to 12 months. This is a welcome change compared
to the almost non-existent update plan of over two years ago. Doesn’t it remind you of the Netscape days?
Also during Gates’
keynote Microsoft
released their new Ajax framework for ASP.NET 2.0 codenamed
Atlas. Atlas should give developers a browser independent
platform to create rich websites with a minimum of fuss -- that’s what the folks at Redmond are saying
anyway.
